How much fried asparagus can one person eat?

Well, if you are Pat “Deep Dish” Bertoletti or Joey Chestnut, over seven pounds each of the stuff. This competition can be fierce, because these guys are professional. However, it’s free and open to the first 12 contestants over 18 who sign up. Think you got what it takes? Give it a shot. Even if you don’t have the stomach for the contest, you can just be a spectator. We promise it won’t turn into a big old “Barf-O-Rama.”
This is one event that’s always a perennial favorite at the Stockton Asparagus Festival.
