California Repercussions Hit The Festival on Saturday
A group of musicians who love playing together will hit the Festival on Saturday wowing the crowds with their energy and fast-moving tempo. New this year, the Redwood City-based California Repercussions is part big band, part jazz band, part party band—and all fun!
On Saturday only, some 40 members of the group will offer their special brand of excitement at various locations around the Festival grounds.
Formed in 1982, the Repercussions draw membership primarily from alumni of local collegiate marching bands, including UC Davis, UC Berkeley, and Stanford University. Most members are not full-time professional musicians, though their skill and experience together is evident in their performance. Their careers range from educators to Silicon Valley engineers to toxic waste specialists. What unites them is their love of performing dynamic and lively music to appreciative audiences.
The group performs mainly in northern California, but has traveled extensively on five continents.
