Compete to Eat!

No one knows how to eat better than Northern California’s hero Joey Chestnut! He is the #1 ranked eater in the world, according to the Major League Eating & International Federation of Competitive Eating (IFOCE). Yes, there are professional competitive eaters who do this for a living! Asparagus Festival Goers are all wondering–Will Chestnut take home the title this year at The World Deep-Fried Asparagus Eating Championship when he is up against previous high rankers like Pat Bertoletti and Ben Monson?

Don’t forget area locals are also stepping up to the table to test their fried-asparagus consuming abilities! Having a hard time finding a good reason to eat that much? Not only will the winner have the pride of winning and receiving a trophy, but he or she will also reap the rewards of $1,500! Second place takes home $750, and third receives $500. Still don’t think you’re up for the challenge? I guarantee it’s just as entertaining to watch the show go down and see who can’t keep their asparagus down!
